Author Showcase: Alisha Adkins

Here's another post that should make the dead sit up and take notice. At first glance, our friend Alisha probably doesn't strike a menacing or cryptically dark chord. But you know the old saying...

Don't Judge a Book by Its Cover ...

or the author!

Heck, this may be your ONE and only chance to see words like "existentialism" and "fugue" in the description of a disturbing zombie tale! And now that I've peeled back the shroud to reveal a piece of work that's obviously going to be the most fun you've had all week -- sit back, bite your bottom lip and embrace Alisha Adkins' unique approach to fatal fun.

Author Showcase: George L. Cook III

My latest showcase takes us back to the future (sorry) for some tantalizing action from a guy who is still in the early stages of what will no doubt be a memorable career. It's my pleasure to introduce you to George L. Cook III, a man with multiple titles already available online. And while I'm at it, I'll throw in a deadly preview of his current work.
George attended Virginia State University and was a member US Army/ NJ National Guard 1991-1994. In 2004, he released his first writing piece, Let's Talk Honestly and in 2009 he was appointed to the Hillside NJ Board of Education. A year later, George won an election to keep that seat and was named Vice President of that Board.

Author Showcase : Harriet Schultz

I'm going to slip slightly outside my comfort zone today - and land on the fringe of my specified genres for our Author Showcase. I don't typically do anything with romance - but am happy to share an author who blends it well with murder, suspense and intrigue and leaves you licking your lips for more.

If you haven't heard about Harriet Schultz yet, I'm sure it's just a matter of time. She's an award-winning journalist whose career began at TIME magazine and I'm going to highlight some snippets from her first novel today.

Harriet Schultz is a native New Yorker who has hopscotched between coasts, calling both San Francisco and New England home. Her journalism career began at TIME magazine where she was involved with its Watergate coverage. She also spent time as an assistant for Pulitzer Prize-winner David Halberstam's at Harper's Magazine. More recently, she covered local news for a Maine newspaper and was honored with an award from the New England Press Association.

Author Showcase : A.J. Aalto

I got a chuckle out of meeting my latest showcase victim... ahem, I mean... featured artist. And you will too. We love to tell you about up and coming authors and books you may not be aware of - and we strongly encourage you to consider sampling their work and sharing it with your friends!

A.J. Aalto is an unrepentant liar and a writer of blathering nonsense offset by factual gore. When not working on her horror novels, you can find her singing Monty Python songs in the shower, eavesdropping on perfect strangers, stalking her eye doctor, or failing at one of her many fruitless hobbies.

Hey, my kinda' girl!

And if that doesn't have you rolling your eyes - check your pulse. It's the proverbial car wreck you wince at - but can't turn away. Except that A.J. Aalto provides an assault on your senses that... in the end, is quite satisfying and totally fun!

So it's with tongue-in-cheek pleasure that I share a little of her art with you. It's all about being...
